Founded by Austin Jones – retired renowned St Kilda footy player, and Travis Marsham, recently retired from the police services, P3 Sports and Recovery was created from local demand for the various services offered to fall under the one roof.
Of the decision to open the facility Austin and Travis say, “At P3 Sports & Recovery, we are driven by the Australian way of life. We aim to develop people to prepare for challenges in both life and sport while providing opportunities for people of all ages to exercise, swim or socialise in a safe and friendly environment.”
Offering many unique services the facility will include several zones allowing for all aspects of training and exercise.
A wet therapy zone includes a contrast therapy using a plunge pool, 12-metre swimming pool, hydrotherapy pool, spa and sauna designed to attract those from all sporting backgrounds to assist and accelerate recovery. The zone will also allow for swimming lessons to help ease wait lists at local centres.
A dry therapy zone consists of a Recovery lounge, Vibrosaun, Hyperbaric Chamber, Physiotherapist and Masseuse. Combined, these options allow for both self and assisted recovery with state-of-the-art equipment and therapies.
The strength and conditioning zone allows everyone the opportunity to find peak physical conditioning and the pathway to elite athleticism. This zone will include individual classes and sports clubs and areas to test young sports people.
Finally a psych zone will accommodate various groups’ facilitation.
P3 Sports and Recovery will also be home to the South East Elite Pathway Academy (SEEPA). An academy created for the development of young men and women in all aspects of sport and life.
